Our Finest Gifts We Bring: A Charity Christmas Concert Event

On Friday, December 5, 2008 at 7pm ROCK Church enthusiastically presents a charity concert / toy drive to support Coastal AIDS Resource Efforts. C.A.R.E. has given sacrificially over the years to Wilmington’s HIV/AIDS infected and affected families. This Christmas we can show our love to the special children in our community by donating a new, unwrapped toy or a cash donation as admission to the concert.
This year’s exciting line up features blues legends Charlie and Rose Lucas, Glory Academy of Fine Arts Dance Company, international worship leader and recording artist Charles Ciepiel, west African dance and drums of Cheick Sissoko and Soko Lab, the ROCK Church worship band, and pop/jazz artists Aqua Viva.
C.A.R.E. is an educational, health oriented, non-profit organization providing advocacy and expanding choices to persons living with and affected by HIV/AIDS. Their services include pediatric / children’s resource programs and summer camp, support groups, educational outreach and speakers, and emergency financial assistance.
I want to invite everyone to Our Finest Gifts We Bring. On December 5th, the ROCK Church stage will be filled with jazz, blues, African drumming, worship, dance and drama. This multi-cultural collaboration of artists from around the Wilmington area will be unlike anything that has ever happened at ROCK Church. We believe this could very well be a standing room only event.
What I really love about this event is that our church is reaching out into our community to benefit Coastal AIDS Resource Efforts (CARE). CARE ministers to those living with and affected by HIV/AIDS. This concert will help bring Christmas to very deserving children in our area.
Children and Christmas go hand in hand. This Christmas, ROCK Church and our community are going to bless many children with an extravagant amount of presents. We are going to tell and show them how much they are loved by God.
Mark your calendar for Friday, December 5th at 7:00pm because we are going to have a blast singing, dancing and giving. Admission to the concert is one unwrapped toy suitable for a child up to age 12 or a cash donation.
